Social Enterprise Awards 2013
Some of the country’s finest social enterprises gathered in London last night (November 27) to celebrate the work done in the sector and to hand out awards to some very deserving people. Baking guru, and big social enterprise supporter, Sue Perkins compered a very jolly evening put together by Social Enterprise UK ably supported by an exemplary ‘social’ supply chain.
Congratulations to all the winners (see below) but we reserve special mention for Link Group, a social housing, regeneration and support organisation from Scotland, who picked up overall social enterprise of the year – and also for Nigel Kershaw, chair of The Big Issue Group and CEO of Big Issue Invest, who received Social Enterprise Champion of Champions award for his sterling work over the last 20 years in social enterprise.
